“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world” (John 1:9).
–Light comes to Mary in the quiet solitude of her family home, “God sent the angel Gabriel” (Luke 1:26).
–Light comes to Joseph in the midst of a restless night of anguish, “an angel of the Lord appeared to him” (Matthew 1:20).
–Light comes to Shepherds in the tedious routine of daily tasks, “An angel of the Lord appeared to them” (Luke 2:9).
–Light comes to Wisemen in their books and the stars, “Where is the one. . . born king of the Jews? We saw his star” (Matthew 2:2).
Jesus is the “good news that will cause great joy for ALL the people” (Luke 2:10). How are we to respond? “O, come, let us adore him.”
