“The Lord departed” (Ezekiel 10:18); God removed his Presence from Israel’s Temple. He continued to send prophets, watch over the exiles, and shape history for their return. But God’s Presence was withdrawn.
He promised to return (Ezekiel 43:5). Centuries passed.
“When the fullness of time had come” (Galatians 3:4), “the Word became flesh and we have seen his glory,” (John 1:14). At last, GOD’S PRESENCE RETURNED!
